The fire company stayed busy throughout the day helping clear fallen trees from roadways and responding to several wire fires. At 18:27, the Washington Township Fire Department and Long Valley First Aid were dispatched to North Mount Lebanon Road for the structure fire. Schooleys Mtn Chief 1 arrived first and confirmed a working fire in the basement. Due to poor weather conditions and treacherous and closed roadways, Tri-County and Hackettstown Fire were requested. Tri-County was first to arrive and made a quick knock on the fire before significant damage occurred. Long Valley Engine 1-2 assisted with salvage and overhaul before being requested to another incident in the township. The First Aid Squad assessed 6 occupants and 2 dogs of the house and no persons or pets required transport.
