At 10:20pm on January 21st, the Washington Township Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire in the area of Pickle Rd. First arriving units confirmed a fully involved structure on fire with exposure to nearby buidlings. Crews immediately went to work to control the blaze and protect the buildings near the fire. Unfortunately, there was 1 fatality which is under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Thank you to all mutual aid companies who braved the sub-zero temperatures to aid in this incident.
