Long Valley Engines assist Fairmount

Just before 3pm this afternoon, Washington Twp Fire Companies were dispatched into the Fairmount section of town for a vehicle fire. Long Valley Engines 1-1 and 1-2 assisted Fairmount Fire crews with overhaul.

Fire Guts Home

On Monday April 20th, Washington Township Emergency Services responded to a call for a residential structure fire at 4 Mountain View Ave. Long Valley Fire, Fairmount Fire, Schooleys Mtn Fire, and Long Valley First Aid Squad worked together alongside Washington Twp Police, and mutual aid companies from Califon, Chester, Flanders, and Hackettstown to extinguish the fire. Pottersville and Tri-County Fire Companies provided standby station coverage. The home’s residents were evacuated safely. Thank you to all who responded and helped keep our community safe. The members of the Long Valley Fire Company lit up the firehouse blue and display puzzle piece decals of their helmets and fire trucks to promote Autism awareness, understanding, and acceptance during April for World Autism Awareness Month.

Fire Scorches Schooleys Mountain

Washington Twp Fire Companies and the First Aid Squad responded to a brush fire, under the power lines, off Knob Hill Road at 1503 hours. No structures were damaged. Mutual aid was received by Budd Lake Fire, Tri-County Fire, and the NJ State Forest Fire.

5 Alarm Brush Fire in Lebanon Twp

At 11:46pm last night, Washington Twp Fire Companies were requested into Lebanon Twp for the 5th alarm brush fire. Long Valley Engine 1-2 was tasked with setting up a draft site off Califon Road for water shuttle operations. Engine 1-2 returned to service in approximately 4 hours.

Fully Involved Vehicle on Middle Valley

Earlier this evening, Long Valley Engines 1-1 and 1-2 along with Schooleys Mtn Engine 3-2 handled this stubborn vehicle fire off Middle Valley Road. All units returned to service in approximately an hour and a half.

Vehicle Catches Fire Inside Garage

At 15:19 hours, moments after clearing a HazMat incident, Washington Township Fire Companies were dispatched for a reported vehicle fire inside a detached garage. The first arriving officer confirmed the working fire and re-alerted all responding companies. Long Valley Engines 1-1 and 1-2 assisted Schooleys Mtn Engine 3-2 on scene. Crews were able to save the garage and the other vehicle in the garage.

East Mill Medevac

At 12:47pm on October 9th, Washington Twp Fire Companies were requested to set up a landing zone at Long Valley First Aid Squad Station 1. Long Valley Engine 1-1 had LZ command and crews assisted EMS with transporting the patient to the helicopter. Fairmount Fire also assisted on scene
