2nd Alarm on Lenore Court

At 03:30am on October 5th, Washington Twp Fire Companies were alerted to a fully involved house fire in Schooleys Mtn Fire Company's first due area. First arriving units confirmed the fire and requested a 2nd Alarm Assignment and the Tender Task Force. All companies operated on scene into the early morning hours. Mutual Aid from Tri-Country Fire, Hackettstown Fire, Budd Lake Fire, Chester fire, Mansfield Twp Fire, Lebanon Fire, Mendham Township Fire, Oldwick Fire, Pottersville Fire, and Mendham Boro Fire operated on scene or ran tender shuttles to and from scene.

2 Car Crash on Naughright

Around 6:30am Monday morning, the fire company was dispatched to Naughright Road for a reported head on 2 car accident. Units arrived to a confirmed accident with injuries and fluid spill. Both drivers were transported by the Long Valley First Aid Squad. The road remained closed for approximately 2 hours.

Last night, Engine 1-2 and the Long Valley First Aid Squad showed our support at the West Morris Central HS vs West Morris Mendham HS Football game. West Morris Central Wolfpack won 49-0!

Car vs Pole on Fairmount

At 02:40am Friday Morning, the fire company was dispatched to Fairmount Road for the reported motor vehicle crash. Engine 1-2 arrived to a vehicle vs pole with the occupant out of the vehicle. Crews cleaned up and secured the scene as EMS tended to the patient and PD conducted their investigation.

Fireworks, Food Truck, and Green Festival

The Long Valley Fire Company held the Fireworks, Food Truck, and Green Festival this past weekend. A lot of hard work and effort was put into this event by your local firefighters. While we were setting up the festival, firefighters were additionally deep cleaning and waxing our engines back at the station. Just as firefighters finished up at the station, Chief 2, Engine 1-2 and Cascade 1-3 took in a motor vehicle accident on West Mill Road. The fire company thanks all those who came out to enjoy the festival and we hope to see you all next year!

Off-Duty PO Calls in Truck Fire

Last Weekend, the Long Valley Fire Company operated at a pick up truck fire on West Mill Road. The fire was reported by an off duty Township police officer and was dispatched at 19:02 hours. Engine 1-1 and Long Valley Chiefs 1 & 2 handled the fire.

West Valley Brook Kitchen Fire

Washington Township Fire Companies were dispatched for a garbage compactor on fire this morning at 08:13 hours. Fairmount Chief arrived along with the Washington Twp. Police to find a working kitchen fire. The Long Valley Rescue Squad was requested for an ambulance for firefighter rehab. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters and smoke was removed from the house with our positive preasure fans. All units cleared by 10:30 (Excerpt from Fairmount Fire FB)

Tractor Trailer Overturns on Naughright

At 09:27 hours, Long Valley Fire and EMS were dispatched to Naughright Road for an overturned tractor trailer. Engine 1-2 was just clearing the scene of a gas leak as the call came in and immediately responded. The crew mitigated a diesel spill from the truck as EMS treated and transported 2 to HMC.

Quick Stop on Pickle Road

At 20:32 hours on June 30th, Washington Twp Fire Companies were dispatched to Pickle Road for the reported structure fire. Fairmount Engine 2-1 and Tender 2-7 arrived first and made a quick knock on the fire. Long Valley Engine 1-2 arrived shortly after and assisted in overhaul and extinguishing hot spots. Engine 1-1 and Cascade 1-3, Chester Fire, Califon Fire, and Schooleys Mtn Fire also assisted on scene. Great work by all companies.

Bedminster Goes to 3 Alarms

At 13:14 hours on June 30th, Somerset County requested Cascade 1-3 to respond into Bedminster Twp for the 3rd Alarm fire. Cascade 1-3 was requested to refill SCBA and to provide manpower at the scene. Once on scene, the crew stood by to fill air bottles but none needed to be filled due to exterior operations. Fire companies from Somerset, Morris, and Hunterdon Counties responded to this incident.
