Car Vs Tree Sparks Fire

Yesterday, during the afternoon hours, Schooleys Mtn Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Naughright Road. Upon arrival, Patrol advised Schooleys Chief 1 that the vehicle and surrounding brush had caught fire. Chief 1 requested for all Washington Twp Fire Companies to respond to the scene. The driver's car hit a tree, and passerby's were able to remove the driver from the car before it became fully engulfed in flames. The driver was transported to nearby Benedict Cucinella School by Long Valley First Aid Squad where the driver was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center by the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit. Long Valley Engine 1-1 arrived and assisted with water, manpower, and extinguishment.
